Executive Director – Steven Lubar
For over 20 years Steven’s professional career has focused on defending and fighting for those in need of an advocate. Steven grew up in Milwaukee and received his BA from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. While in college Steve worked in the Wisconsin State Senate as well as the Office of Senator Russ Feingold. Steve earned his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He began his legal career in the General Counsel’s Office of the Teamsters Union in Washington, DC. Steve was subsequently named the first legal scholar in the history of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. He has represented numerous local and national unions in contract negotiations, grievances and litigation. Steve has appeared before state and federal courts, the National Labor Relations Board, and state agencies.
Steven has been deeply involved in the community. He coached little league baseball for many years, served on charitable boards, volunteered at a number of non-profit organizations, and was involved in Big Brother and Big Sisters as a Big Brother for over 12 years.
